Newro

Branding / UX UI Design

Cognitive decline doesn’t have to be inevitable. Newro is a proactive app designed to help individuals maintain and improve their brain health, reducing the risk of dementia. Through personalized brain training exercises, lifestyle tips, and health tracking, Newro empowers users to stay sharp, engaged, and in control of their cognitive well-being. Newro encourages daily mental fitness, helping you build habits that promote long-term brain health.

So, what's the issue?

The challenge was that there are very few apps like Newro—an app focused on reducing the risk of dementia through proactive brain health management. For older adults, many existing apps can be overly complex, making it difficult for them to navigate and use consistently. Without a user-friendly design tailored to their needs, older users may struggle to stay engaged with brain training and health tracking features that could greatly benefit their cognitive well-being.

How can I solve the problem?

To address this, I designed Newro with a simple, intuitive interface where key elements are positioned at the center of the screen. Studies suggest that center-positioned interfaces reduce cognitive load and improve usability for older adults by minimizing complex navigation and excessive hand movements (Smith, 2014). This design approach ensures that users can easily access brain training exercises, lifestyle tips, and health tracking features without feeling overwhelmed. By keeping the interface clean and centered, Newro helps older users stay engaged and build daily habits that support their cognitive health, making the app more accessible and enjoyable to use.
